In 1967, married couple Lisbeth and Gubi Olsen founded the Danish design company Gubi. The brand's breakthrough came with the classic Gubi 5 shell chair, which was created in collaboration with Komplot Design. Probably the best-known product, a true classic, is the Gräshoppa lamp by Greta Magnusson Grossman. The company's philosophy focuses on a responsible approach to ecology, materials and quality, whereby the designs are always subjected to a close examination of their potential for longevity. Because only sustainable, durable, effective and timeless furniture makes it into Gubi's production.
