Since its foundation in 1960, Artemide has stood for exceptional, carefully crafted luminaires made in Italy. Tizio by Richard Sapper and Tolomeo by Michele De Lucchi / Giancarlo Fassina are just two of the company's world-famous products. The Human Light philosophy introduced in the 1990s places people and their quality of life at the center of product development. Artemide works extremely successfully with architects and designers such as Herzog & De Meuron, Ettore Sottsass, Issey Miyake and Karim Rashid. The luminaires are represented in the collections of major design museums such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and have repeatedly won numerous awards, most recently the Wallpaper Design Award 2017, the iF Product Design Award 2016 and the reddot Design Award 2016.
