The traditional brand interlübke stands for first-class wardrobe and shelving systems, sideboards, chests of drawers and beds. It was founded in 1937 in Wiedenbrück, Westphalia. The brothers Leo and Hans Lübke produce polished bedrooms, chests of drawers, wardrobes and beds in their furniture factory. With the design of the endless wardrobe in 1963 by Swiss interior designer Walter Müller, interlübke launches its first icon onto the market. The "interlübke 61" is assembled from just a few parts and can be extended almost endlessly using the add-on process. Creative designers such as Peter Maly, Rolf Heide and Peter Kräling add trendy designs to the range in the 70s and 80s. Wulf Schneider designs the first illuminated furniture for interlübke. With the "cube" chest of drawers series by Werner Aisslinger, one of the most successful furniture ranges is introduced from 2002. 2010 sees the launch of the revolutionary "reef" wardrobe system by Neuland Industriedesign with cascading fronts. Until the company is taken over by managing partners Dr. Peter Rutishauser and Dr. Richard Lenz in 2014, interlübke remains a family business. The stringent focus on the highest quality, innovation and service has led to numerous awards, such as the German Design Award and the Interior Innovation Award.
